It's December 31, 2008. What an wonderfully interesting and productive year 2008 has been.
2007 ended with the MBO conference which began the snowball effect. I have listed below notable events in Squish's year:
~January 2008:
Joined Smaller Indiana, which has been the best thing that I could have ever done for our business. Networking is PHENOMENAL.
Met Ken Zwiegel of Drive and he has become a referral source for business. Thanks Ken!
~February 2008:
Attended my first Rainmakers meeting.
Met Jon Speer and began the planning of the first ever Morgan County Community Days.
~March 2008:
Attended my first NOWIB meeting with Nicole Nonte of Bitwise Solutions.
Met Kyle Lacy -Mr Indy Social Media. :)
~April 2008:
Networked with Lorraine Ball of Roundpeg over pedicures!
George and I spoke at the Mooresville High School's Career Day about a career with the web.
~May 2008:
Celebrated 2,000 members with Smaller Indiana!
Executed the Martinsville Community Day!
Launched Heartland Crossing Community.
~June 2008:
A month of meetings and ramping up for the upcoming months!
~July 2008:
Mooresville Community Day benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Morgan County and providing a day of fun and learning about entrepreneurship for youth!
~October 2008:
4th Annual Taste of Mooresville Sponsor
Began first Moodle eLearning project for PATC .
Spoke to the kids at the Boys & Girls Club about my role in Squish and became a volunteer.
Spoke on Blogging Panel at STC with Doug Karr, Erik Deckers, and Patric Welch.
Began developing mobile websites. Ike & Jonesy's is the first one! (Check it out on your phone.)
Incorporated blogs into the Squish website!
~November 2008:
Began writing the technology column for the Mooresville Times & Martinsville Reporter.
Launched Indiana Lawyers for Soldiers for Baker & Daniel's.
~December 2008:
Our month to catch up, wrap up, and begin planning for 2009.
